Alan S. Nastali, CPA/PFS, CFP® is President of Nastali Financial Services, Ltd. – a comprehensive financial services firm committed to clients living their best financial lives. With a vast knowledge base, strong integrity, and years of experience with devoted clients, he specializes in the financial needs of Executives and Entrepreneurs while they work towards pursuing their goals.

Since 1998, he has been dedicated to giving clients confidence in their financial lives by educating and working diligently to help them develop, understand, and implement financial plans that center around their goals. To best serve his clients, Alan maintains CPA/PFS, and CFP® credentials which provides him with a unique advantage to applying tax-focused financial strategies that build, manage, and preserve his clients’ wealth. 

Always an outdoor enthusiast, Alan enjoys traveling, hiking, golfing, scuba diving, and spending time with his family. His passion for nature and the outdoors has led to his support for Citizen Science’s involvement with the Marine Megafauna Foundation. When he is unable to get outside, you can find him collecting miles on his Peloton bike or wines for his Eurocave. Alan’s favorite beverages are coffee and wine: coffee for when he’s hard at work helping clients and wine for unwinding when the day’s work is done. Alan resides in Darien, Illinois with his wife and three children.

While most of Alan’s clients reside in the Chicagoland area, he also has clients that span the country – from California to New York, Wisconsin to Texas, and even Puerto Rico. Alan’s diverse group of clients are a true testament to his exceptional skill of building long-term client relationships as well as his commitment to understanding and appreciating their needs.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) 

Alan is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the world's largest member association representing the accounting profession. The AICPA sets ethical standards for the profession and develops and grades the Uniform CPA Examination.

 

Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) 

Alan has earned the PFS credential from the AICPA, which recognizes CPAs who have demonstrated their expertise in personal financial planning. The PFS credential is awarded only to CPAs who have met rigorous education, experience, and examination requirements.

 

Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) 

Alan has been certified by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board), to advise on U.S.-related financial planning matters. The CFP Board is a nonprofit certification and standards-setting organization whose mission is to benefit the public by granting the CFP® certification and upholding it as the recognized standard of excellence for competent and ethical personal financial planning.

Being certified by the CFP Board requires mastering nearly 100 integrated financial planning topics, passing the CFP® Certification Exam (average preparation time 1,000 hours), and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
